Introduction
Machine learning has recently blown up and has gained a lot of popularity with the rise of Chat GPT. There are a huge amount of free resources to learn about the basics of Machine Learning and this article will feature some of these.
My Journey
In this section, I will talk about my journey in learning ML and how long it took me to learn some of the basics of Machine Learning. I had initially got interested in learning about ML just a few months ago in my freshman year of Highschool. One thing to take note of is that I already had experience with programming and Python. Using just youtube tutorials and some free courses, I learned a lot over time. After being in the Machine learning space for a little, I learned about a website called Kaggle. This website offered courses, datasets, competitions, and a community of people who were into Machine learning. After spending a lot of time on Kaggle creating different projects, taking courses, and submitting to competitions, I finally learned the basics of ML.
Resources
So how do YOU get started? Here is a list of some of the best resources!
Kaggle: Offers courses, datasets, and competitions, Great resource for learning code
Machine Learning Specialization: This is an extremely popular course by Andrew Ng but does have some prerequisites
Hugging Face Course: Hugging Face is a very powerful tool that allows people to access state-of-the-art transformer models and the course they offer is amazing. I would recommend learning more basic topics in ML before taking this course
This Blog: Though this is my first post, I will be posting a lot more about different topics related to ML. This will be great for other beginners who want to learn along with me
